Name: Andrea Kelk on Apr 2, 2007Comments: The tea trolly is a great way to meet other people from sections without taking too much time away from the desk. I fear that putting it into the EPC will affect services as people will dissapear for longer and also could be a health and safety issue walking through reception with hot drinks.Flag

Name: Pat Brandall on Apr 2, 2007Comments: I think that it is an important part of routine, it makes you stop for a break - because it is there. Coffee served in the EPC would take longer, get cold on the way back and people would probably use the venders instead.Flag

Name: Claire Cooper on Apr 2, 2007Comments: Staff should not have to waste time leaving their offices to go all the way to the EPC for a coffee. The time taken to do this would be huge because everyone would go at the same time.Flag

Name: Simon Milson on Apr 2, 2007Comments: I agree that this service is essential to allowing busy colleagues a 2minute break to buy a drink when otherwise they would work straight through. Added to this is the logistical nightmare of everyone piling down to the EPC, not to mention the financial implications of the time lost in walking down to the EPC, standing in line for your drink, finishing it in the EPC, (for i am informed that due to health and safety issues we will not be allowed to leave the EPC with the drinks) and then walking back again. Would senior managment prefer 20minutes + is lost from every member of staff morning and afternoon or when we are striving to keep workers efficient and motivated, constantly asked if we feel valued or proud, and are required to fill in morale questionaires, would it be more desirable to retain this excellent, efficient service that obviously means a lot to the staff at ELDCFlag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 2, 2007Comments: The current service increases efficiency, morale, and minimises the amount of time taken for breaks. It is important in maintaining concentration levels, allowing refreshments to be purchased without the distraction of having to walk to the other side of the building.Flag

Name: Joanne Peall on Apr 2, 2007Comments: I have rather strong feelings about this as I feel that it is against health and safety surely having a lot of members of staff walking round the buildings with hot drinks also working in customer services it is very hard for us to go to the epc as we are dealing with face to face customers and customers on the phone so not able to just wander off to the epc.Flag

Name: Anne Shorland on Apr 2, 2007Comments: Some staff may not be able to come to the EPC room and they will not then be getting some kind of break from their desks. The tea trolley is one of the things that makes ELDC a more touchy feely place to work and it would be a shame to loose this.Flag
