Name: Jenji on Mar 6, 2010Comments: My first post didn't go through, so I will try again. I'm not sure where to begin with this whole topic. I will start by saying that it makes me sick to my stomach the way the rug was ripped out from under us...giving us a week to say goodbye to all of our friends, to everything we've accumulated over the years! I started in 2003, Beta tester, and have made some wonderful friendships in the nearly 7 years I've been there. For that, I am grateful. I am also grateful for all of the laughs. No, There.com is NOT real life (nothing can take the place of RL), but for many of us it has brought us an escape from a crappy town, from when we're down, etc..we knew we could go on the game & get a laugh somewhere like that, be random, goofy, just act like kids for the most part. It truly was a great thing for so many, even with all of the griefers, it has been worth it. I am sad, and I will continue to be sad for a bit. It really is like losing a friend, a reliable friend...it was always something consistent. Now, not so much. I am not going to let this ruin my life, of course, but for all of those people saying 'get over it, it's just a game'...we will get over it, but it will take time...and no, it wasn't 'just a game' to some of us. It was a connection to our friends. Not sure if this petition will help, but it's worth a shot, and worth speaking our minds. Love ya guys...and I'll miss you...JenjiFlag

Perhaps if There had concentated on people who spent the money in here and less on teenagers who don't spend so much, it may have been better. Many people have lots hundreds and some people have lost thousands. It is a pity that Michael Wison did not consider a monthly fee like premium members in Second Life - maybe it would have saved There? Who knows we only know that it is suchj a tradgery to have to leave this great place - and never find anothet like it ever. Has great potential if handled with the right person adn finances.Flag
