The Party Nightclub is the Gold Coast\'s leading alternative rock music nightclub. We are dedicated to local and international alternative music that caters for all genres, styles and tastes, 9pm till late every Friday and Saturday night
Unfortunately the Party is going to be closed down soon to make way for a second level of \'Cocktails & Dreams\'. Nothing against \'Cocktails & Dreams\', but there are dozens of other clubs that are exactly the same in the same street in Surfers Paradise - \'The Party\' is something different. It gives us Metal-Heads somewhere to go without having to dress up to like a Metro and listen to RnB - there\'s just no other club like it, and we love it!
It all comes down to money, and the simple fact is that cocktails and dreams makes way more money than the party does, and probably ever will. But maybe if we show support by going there as often as possible to show that the alternative music scene is still a viable market, the owners will think twice about closing it.
So please, sign the petition and get down to The Party! This petition will be passed on to the owners/management of Cocktails & Dreams/The Party, so we need everyones support to keep the party going! Tell your friends, get them to sign the petition and be our friends on Myspace and Facebook, and most importantly, get to The Party this weekend and hopefully we can stop \'The Party\' from closing!
We are just a few people that have been going to \'The Party\' for a good 6 or 7 years and we dont want it to close down.
