| 1 | roley | Quality bloke dont let him go as some oxford united players should listen to his updates as they are always late for training. |
| 2 | Andy Boddington | Mike is a man who has brought humour to the grime reality of traffic news. |
| 3 | Jim West | Local Radio - not summarised form London!!! |
| 4 | R Gibson | Traffic news should be kept LOCAL. |
| 5 | vincent white | a wealth of info on uor local roads. |
| 6 | Anonymous | |
| 7 | Eric Murray | Not only does he provide the local traffic news he also informs us of any transport problems in London. I really appreciate his bulletins. |
| 8 | Bernard Connolly | I thought the traffic news was to cover local issues. How local is London? |
| 9 | Rob Hinchliff | |
| 10 | Ed Turner | Mike's a top-notch travel correspondent, keeps us smiling when we're stuck in traffic, and brings his wealth of experience to bear. Time for a rethink, BBC! |
| 11 | E Hodgkins | Mike does a great job on the radio travel. He is very knowledge on the roads in Oxford city, county of Oxfordshire and well beyond, His years as a traffic policeman have show as he gives common sense advice and knows how to pronounce the names of local places. He is very popular with the listeners and local knowledge is very important especially at rush hours. |
| 12 | Alex Tucker | Keep the show on the road! |
| 13 | Anonymous | let's keep the traffic report local. Mike is good. |
| 14 | Roger GRIFFITHS | Its nice to listen to Mike Knibbs on the radio each morning with his traffic updates and know that he knows what and where he is talking about. If in the future the updates come from outside the area then the personal touch will be lost and only basic information will be transmitted to the public. Mike is a credit to the Radio Oxford team and is well respected and listened to by the Oxfordshire comuters each weekday morning. Not only does he give traffic updates but also his views on different subjects when requested to by his colleagues. He will be a sorry loss to the team and the listening public if he is allowed to go. |
| 15 | kmcmahon | keep mike on for the sake of the travellers in oxford as he is wonderful at his job |
| 16 | Anonymous | PLEASE RETAIN MIKE ON RADIO OXFORD. ITS HIS PERSONNAL KNOWLEDGE AND TOUCH THAT MAKES IT FEEL LIKE LOCAL RADIO. TRAVEL NEWS IS AN IMPORTANT FEATURE FOR ME GETTING HOME AFTER NIGHTS AND WITHOUT MIKES FRIENDLY VOICE I WOULD BE LOOKING TO LISTEN TO OTHER STATIONS..... NEED TO KEEP HIM GUYS. LOOSE THE LOCAL TOUCH AND WHATS THE POINT IN CALLING IT RADIO OXFORD ???? |
| 17 | susan goldacre | Mike's cheerful voice will be missed - especially when we are sitting in traffic |
| 18 | susan goldacre | |
| 19 | Simon | Mikes local friendly approach, his knowledge of the area and his previous Traffic Police experiance ( Even if it was Thames Valley ) Is a great credit to radio Oxford. Akways up to date and clear Travel advice , loose him and you loose the right to call it Local Radio. ( Hope thats ok Mike, just pop the cheque in the post ) cheers matey.. hope they see sense. |
| 20 | Anthony Mudrak | I have to travel north daily to work so rely upon the traffic information I hear on the radio to help me get to work on time. Mike Knibbs has been able to to really 'add value' to the information having been a traffic police officer with a great deal of knowledge and experience of our local roads; major and minor. This kind of information has helped on a number of occasions to avoid the accidents and 'snarl-ups' that have occurred. Please re-consider. |
| 21 | Antonia Bance | |
| 22 | Chris Mullineux | Mike's travel bulletins are second to none. There is NO SUBSTITUTE for local knowledge. Mike knows the roads in Oxfordshire like the back of his hand. He is, therefore, one of the best things that have happened to the Radio Oxford morning show. PLEASE KEEP HIM !!!! |
| 23 | Anonymous | What a great loss this would be to commuters in the mornings.Clearly Mike's knowlegde of the area plays a great part in keeping traffic moving. Yet another knee jerk reaction from radio Oxford! The fact that he said he would do it voluntarily is surely an offer too good to miss."Wake up" radio Oxford! |

| 26 | ELIZABETH ELLIOTT | PLEASE RENEW MIKE KNIBBS` CONTRACT.HIS TRAVEL INFORMATION IS THE BEST! |

| 30 | Mike Rowley | The coverage of the floods showed how much the media know or care about local people: #### all. Save local radio! |
| 31 | r rhodes | |
| 32 | sue smith | Mike is the reason i listen to radio oxford in the morning and his help during the work at the green road works was invaluable also his local knowledge of the area |
| 33 | John Kennedy | I rely on the traffic reports from Mike to get from Ardley to Bracknell on weekdays. I was disappointed when Shabina forced him to report every 20 minutes.
If you take him off then I will be forced to listen to Fox FM to get my traffic reports. I will stop listening all together. |
| 34 | Lance Mitchell | The jingle goes, "BBC Radio Oxford. Travel news you can rely on."
The fact of the matter is that the travel news is most accurate, current and personal to all of the listeners when Mike Knibbs is in charge of it.
At other times, the information that we (the people out on the roads) call in with can take up to an hour to filter through to the airwaves and then they are ruined by inaccuracies such as wrong place, wrong direction, wrong road number and mis-pronounced place names.
Mike talks to us and gets the news on the air in seconds, with the presnter's cooperation, and he knows the county so well that he can make the connections to possible impacts.
You CANNOT let him go! |
| 35 | Chris Riley | I travel 40000 miles a year all over the country, and Mike Knibbs is the only travel reporter i have come across on the BBC local network that provides a true local travel service with local knowledge. If Mike goes then i will switch to Fox .
Please renew Mikes contract into 2008 |

| 46 | ROGER A WOODLEY | Mike all ways called Didcot Didcut it was good to have and talk to a local person on our local radio. |
| 47 | Amanda Terry | We need local traffic reports and Mike's local knowldege is invaluable. |
| 48 | Dorothy Bonding | Keep the Knibbler. Keep local radio local! |
| 49 | Jeane Claude Nattes | We need local radio and local traffic news. News from London might as well be coming from India. Oops, that will probably give the BBC the idea of outsourcing its news and travel overseas. |
| 50 | Watkins Wynne | Three cheers for Mr Knibbler! |
