If in the future the updates come from outside the area then the personal touch will be lost and only basic information will be transmitted to the public. Mike is a credit to the Radio Oxford team and is well respected and listened to by the Oxfordshire comuters each weekday morning.Not only does he give traffic updates but also his views on different subjects when requested to by his colleagues. He will be a sorry loss to the team and the listening public if he is allowed to go.Flag

Mike Knibbs has been able to to really 'add value' to the information having been a traffic police officer with a great deal of knowledge and experience of our local roads; major and minor. This kind of information has helped on a number of occasions to avoid the accidents and 'snarl-ups' that have occurred. Please re-consider.Flag

The fact of the matter is that the travel news is most accurate, current and personal to all of the listeners when Mike Knibbs is in charge of it. At other times, the information that we (the people out on the roads) call in with can take up to an hour to filter through to the airwaves and then they are ruined by inaccuracies such as wrong place, wrong direction, wrong road number and mis-pronounced place names. Mike talks to us and gets the news on the air in seconds, with the presnter's cooperation, and he knows the county so well that he can make the connections to possible impacts. You CANNOT let him go!Flag
