Name: Dianne Batten on Nov 21, 2011Comments: I particularly agree about the folly of committing so much money to this project when all our existing parks need more regular maintenance that is generally not as timely as could be expected especially for iconic walks like the Overland Track and Mount Field National Park. World class track work has been done in places like Walls of Jerusalem. National Parks have the skills to protect our environment and provide more aware access to fragile environments but they need the funding to continue this work and cope with increasing visitor numbers. The Three Capes Development is a distractor.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 6, 2012Comments: The government's proposed Three Capes Walk is inappropriate and violates fundamental environmental and social national park values. In Tasmania's interests please consider TNPA's alternative proposal; upgrading park facilities for campers and day-walkers, and promoting walking opportunities and locally run accommodation in the area.Flag

Because of Parks and Wildlife cutting off the road, the integrity of the area has been distroyed. No more Surf assist,no more Emergency Services to Shipsterns, putting lives at risk.Flag

We then spent our holiday funds in private accommodation, buying food etc and hence spreading money around the community. Please don't stuff up this precious pristine area!Flag

We need to conserve it and also conserve the natural approach of experiencing it and leave it accessible to all not just companies and the well off Walking a lot most tourists I meet would agree with this. Keep Australia natural, conserved and uniqueFlag

Name: Stuart McLean on Oct 13, 2012Comments: Friends and I recently walked the new track from Fortescue Bay to Cape Huay, and we found the rock surface to be overdone since a fine gravel track would be sufficient for most of the walk and a lot easier on the feet. It is no longer a bushwalk.Flag
