This petition will be presented to the City of Deerfield Beach. Currently, public vehicular traffic is knowingly and deliberatley being impeded due to the daily operation of Capital Scrap Metal at 1410 S. Powerline Rd. Their business causes vehicular traffic to cease numerous times daily on SW 14 St and sometimes backs up onto Powerline Rd blocking an entire lane, thus causing a traffic hazard. Their activity deters the general public to patronize other businesses in the area. The bicycle and pedestrian traffic on the east side of Powerline Rd is also deliberatly being stopped at times by their business. Also, due to their operations, hazardous debris is allowed to accumalate on SW 14 St, Powerline Rd, SW 34 Ave, SW 15 St and other roads in the area. This debris further deters patrons due to the fear of punctured tires and/or vehicle damage.
