It is unfair that Rhode Island College has take away art students privileges. Every art school has their studio's open at all hours of the night for the students to work on there assignments when they please. RIC has stopped our freedom. Rhode Island College has decided that it's ok to close the studio at 12PM. This is not ok. many art students work all day and take classes at night. Some dont get out of class until 9 oclock. They then have to squeeze in a meal and work all night in order to feel satisfied with their work. There is no reason why the art studio shouldn't be open all night. The school simply doesnt feel like having someone there. College students are more than mature enough to be in there alone. If security is that big of an issue than install some cameras. I know that every art student feels thet same, and something has to be done!!! Keep the studio OPEN!!
