We the undersigned petition the council to keep publicly funded leisure facilities inside the ring road in East Oxford by carrying out the minimum maintenance required to keep Temple Cowley Pools and Fitness Centre operational, instruct the operators Fusion Lifestyle to put on more classes, events and features to increase attendances, and to use income from the Gym to fund the improvements identified as necessary by the 2008 Condition Survey and the Save Temple Cowley Pools Action Group.

I have been hearing from so many of you who spent years learning to swim at the pools or meeting neighbors in the gym. These facilities are the heart of East Oxford and hearing your personal stories reminds me exactly why we are fighting this closure.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels surreal because I remember learning to swim at these pools as a child. This surge of support proves that our community refuses to let these facilities just fade away.

Temple Cowley is part of the community. So many of us rely on these classes. Shame on you council.
Disappointed we even have to fight for this. It is a vital resource for families who cant afford fancy private gyms.
This pool is the only place my kids can swim for a decent price. Dont tear down our local facilities for more housing we dont need.
FIX THE POOL. Simple as that.
Total joke that the council wants to close this place down. Use the money from the gym and fix the roof already.

Keep it open! My dad been going there for years and it keeps him active. You cant just close everything in the east side.
