Dear Senator,
I join with Young Americans for Freedom in opposition to the nomination of Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court. It is imperative that you vote to Keep Out Kagan so as to keep America free for future generations.
Elena Kagan’s only track record is of attacking freedom.
- We are concerned about her moral and political compass after reading Kagan’s Princeton thesis in which she laments the decline of socialism in the United States.
- We are concerned about Kagan’s willful violation of the Solomon amendment to kick the military off Harvard law school’s campus because they did not fit her agenda.
- We are concerned with Kagan’s use of her position as Solicitor General to suppress the free speech of conservatives. (See Citizens United v. FEC)
- We are concerned that she has compared the NRA to the KKK and will use the bench to take away Americans fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
- We are concerned that Kagan looks to international law for precedent and will continue to do so as a Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.
- We are concerned Kagan’s agenda will not allow her to follow the letter of the law, but lead Kagan to enforce her own social, liberal, and socialist agenda from the bench.
As a Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan would be the gate keeper of our constitutional rights but we do not believe that she will be able to separate her personal bias from her duty to uphold the constitution in order to protect America and the future generations.
