Please help as we don\'t have much time. An applicant has applied for a licence to sell food and drink from a mobile vehicle on the corner of Canons Hill and Coulsdon Road. He has applied to trade Monday to Sundays 0700 hours until 1900 hours . This would be a disaster for our unique village character and the feel of Old Coulsdon as we know it. I strongly urge you to sign this petition against such a proposal and let the officials know how the residents feel. A mobile food and drink van would generate more litter around the area, not to mention morsels of food dropped that would encourage vermin. Not a good idea right next to the play area for our young children! The area is already well served by a local Baker selling hot/cold food and drinks, there is a cafe in the \'Lacey Green\' shops, and there is a burger van in the nearby industrial estate, as well as a good variety of take-away restaurants in the locale. We do not need a \'burger van\' in Canons Hill! The closing date for official objection is the 18th of June 5pm. (update) I have been told (unofficially) that objections can be made up until 1st of July. (update) It would seem the applicant has been granted a temporary licence and is currently trading at the site. It is most important now that we carry on with this petition.
