If you havent heard, Nickelback (the band) is planning to perform for the Halftime show of the Lions-Packers, tradition filled Thanksgiving Day game. This being said, this year seems to be a year of change/ restore the roar/ Schwartz air-fist pumping kind of year for the Detroit Lions. Keeping that theme alive, Detroit Lions fans have created a petition to get RID of Nickelback as the halftime performer. Perhaps thinking that this petition is going to keep Lions fans Thanksgivings' from sucking, as they have the past 10+ years, Lions fans all over have stepped up and now have over 30,000 signatures. What is Thanksgiving all about? Isn't it about traditions? Dont we have turkey every single Thanksgiving? Isn't the Thanksgiving day parade the same every single year?? Don't Lions fans end up pissed off every single Thanksgiving?? Why ruin such a GREAT tradition?? This petition is to KEEP Nickelback as the Thanksgiving Day halftime show in the spirit of keeping Thanksgiving traditions alive!! Just because the Lions aren't losing every single game this year doesn't mean we need to throw all traditions out the window!  Lets all get into the holiday spirit by listening to an old, washed up grunge band as we cram turkey into our mouths and watch the Lions get smoked! TRADITIONS NEVER DIE!!!
