Due to budget cuts, the SHSD has not renewed Chorus Director Mr. LaPine’s contract. Please encourage Superintendent Peter Miller and the Board of Education to reconsider this decision! Our schools CANNOT afford to lose the valuable resource we have in a Specialized Chorus Teacher. The choral program of the Somerset Hills School District is a vibrant, meaningful and highly enriching experience for all students. To maintain that high standard of excellence, a Specialized Chorus Teacher is essential. We support the continued dedication of SHSD resources towards the Chorus program, and ask that the Superintendent and Board of Education reconsider and reverse their decision not to renew the contract of the current Chorus Director, Matthew LaPine.
