Name: Dr. Joseph P. Allen on Dec 25, 2008Comments: As a former NASA astronaut, former Assistant Administrator of NASA and an individual who has personally known all NASA Administrators since James Webb, I assure you that Dr. Mike Griffin is far and away the best Administrator the Agency has ever had. Please extend his appointment for at least the next four years. Our nation needs his continuing leadership at NASAFlag

Name: Ajay P. Kothari on Dec 25, 2008Comments: As someone who went to school with Mike - and even competed for grades - I have seen first hand how smart and technically as well as philosophically honest he is, over several years. It would be a real shame if the country implicitly does not appreciate such talents, as they have been in short supply in high positions of late. President Elect Obama, please do sit down for a few minutes with Mike, and you will find you both have similar straightforwardness, transparency and smartness in common, something that the country badly needs - not just NASA - now and in future.Flag

Name: Mike I on Dec 25, 2008Comments: Keep mike, but scrap the scotty stick and accelerate an Ares V without an EDS for ISS missions. I have seen the administrator get technical and help improve Orion. That vehicle is finally turning the corner to something from an ops standpoint I would feel comfortable flying. I just wish he would do the same for the launch vehicle. I am not expecting this comment to actually get posted given the petition owner.Flag

Name: Barbara Cherry on Dec 25, 2008Comments: Mike Griffin is the best man for the job of NASA Administrator. I fully support keeping Mike Griffin as NASA Administrator. To go back to the moon and then on to Mars will require someone with not only vision, but the technical competence to implement such a vision. Mike Griffin is that person. It will take such vision to get young people involved and engaged in the exploration vision and keep the US as a world leader in science and technology.Flag

Name: Peter B. Davitto on Dec 25, 2008Comments: Dr. Griffin has done an Outstanding Job for our Country and should be retained, not sloughed off as excess flotsam to be replaced by some political hack appointment. The NASA Administrator position is not and should never be about politics, it should clearly be about science, exploration, leadership, accountability, camaraderie, and team building. Mike IS the Right Man for the job! Keep him in his position and increase his funding. If you have any questions on my beliefs about this man and the excellent job he has done and the espirit de corps he has instilled, please let me know. Peter B.
