Manjeet Kaur is seeking asylum in the UK following a series of threats and attacks made on her since the disappearance of her husband in India. Her husband was threatened and attacked as a result of his anti-government journalism.

Manjeet has been targeted by the group of men who her husband was escaping from and has been beaten on several occasions and received threats that they will rape and kill her. Manjeet is especially vulnerable because she is 90% paralysed and uses a wheelchair. She fled to the UK where she has many family members who can provide her with the support she needs.

Despite these convincing facts, the UKBA have refused Manjeet's claim for asylum and have told her she must return to India. Manjeet's husband is still missing and the group threatening her will be waiting for her to return to Delhi. Read Manjeet's full story here.
