| 2601 | Anonymous | 51113 Range Road 280 Stony Plain, Alberta T7Z 2A1 | Kelly, I remember you being interviewed, grieving at the loss of your husband, who always called you "beautiful". My heart ached for you, as for the other family members of the "fallen four". Out of respect for your husband - always remember that his parents, who's hearts you are breaking, raised that wonderful man that YOU fell in love with. May the wonderful memories keep Leo ever near to your heart. To live on in our hearts, is to never die. |
| 2602 | Maxine Haywood | PO Box 338 Lac La Biche | Leave him rest, his parents deserve for him to be here in Lac La Biche for them to visit him whenever they feel fit. |

| 2608 | Chasity Belanger | 270 Mustang Road, Fort McMurray, AB | Leo was METIS, born and raised in Lac La Biche before he was ever married to Kelly. That is his heritage. What kind of wife would want her husband exumed???? If she loved him sooo much, how could she bare the thought of that?? If she honoured and respected him, she would never show such a horrible level of disrespect to him. Who goes to this level?? He is a Canadian Hero, is this how the Canadian courts show respect for the people that put thier lives on the line daily, so we can feel safe? |
| 2609 | Linda Mannah | Box 274, Boyle, AB t0a0m0 | Please let the poor man rest ! He deserves to be left alone. |
| 2610 | Anonymous | Saskatoon | This is not intended to diminish Kelly's love for Leo, but her life will take a very different route in the future from Leo's parents' lives. I believe most widowed daughters-in-law will verify that. Please leave Leo where he is – with his family. Kelly, you will have a new family and I wish you well, but please do not impact Leo's family and his connection to his family by moving him away from them. We are very fortunate to have a former daughter-in-law who understands our connection to our deceased son. We have a wonderful relationship even after 9 years and a new family. I wish you could have that with Leo's parents, too. |

| 2613 | Lawrence L'Hirondelle | Dawson Creek BC | I believe that Leo should be buried in Lac La Biche because his family will go visit his last site in this place and pray for him in the next place further up. I also believe his wife is young and will heal and life will go on , so I do not believe in grave moving because it will reopen the sorrow that was felt by all and we cannot forget Leo's spirit so we must let him grow where he is now. |

| 2619 | Jennifer Price-Jones | 150 Elgin View, se Calgary, Alberta T2Z 4N2 | I would think that moving Leo Johnston's body goes against his rights under the "Rights & Freedoms" Act of Canada , & his spiritual rights as a Metis. He obviously was proud of his heritage & in working with the Alexis band was displaying that heritage. Had he renounced his heritage it would be a different story. The spiritual beliefs of his family & his people need to take precidence here. May Leo rest in peace in Lac La Biche. |
| 2620 | Jaime | Edmonton, AB | Kelly says that this is what her husband wanted, to be buried in Regina. If this is true then why wasn't he buried there originally? *sarcasm*
In wedding vows it says, " Do you promise to respect and honor your husband?" She is doing neither by her heartless protest. |
| 2621 | Anonymous | 88 Country Rd, Corner Brook, NL | Let him rest with his loving family, at his home. |
| 2622 | Anonymous | La Crete, AB. | I believe that Constable Leo Johnston's remains should stay in his hometown of Lac La Biche. This is the only moral and ethical thing to do. |

Allow him to rest where he chose and his parents can visit. |
| 2629 | Laurie Holland | 43 Hillpark Tr Crt, Whitecourt, AB, T7S 1J4 | It seems like Leo's widow Kelly is out for her own glory to have his body moved to the memorial cemetery. She should respect what his wishes were, and quit showboating in court to have his remains moved. She is displaying utmost disrespectful behavior and she should be ashamed of herself. Let Leo rest in peace already! |
| 2630 | Nancy Ladouceur-Hesse | 145 Beaumont Crescent, Fort McMurray,Alta | I believe that Constable Lionide Johnston should stay at his resting place, because Lac La Biche is his hometown, his roots were planted there the day he came on this earth. I have stopped and seen and prayed for Lionide and also stopped at the memoral that they have for him in LacLaBiche . I really think that the parents should be granted there son's remains to stay where they are at. I believe that his wife should not fit to move him to the RCMP graveyard. He is being honoured by many people from the LacLaBiche community and also from other areas of Alberta. He does not need to be burried in Regina. I believe that the spirit lives on when we pass over to the other world. I do not know the Constable but I believe that he would want to be burried in his home town and that should be granted for his parents sake, because his parents rasied him and they should have the choice where his remains should be not his wifes because she was not married to the Constable long enough to make the decession of where Lionide Johnston should be burried.. My pryers go to the parents and hope they get there wish to come turn. I hope that Lionides wife will give in and leave it alone because all you are doing is making bad mistakes that you will not beable to take back. I really hope the parents get there wish come true and I will pray dealing for your family to get your wish!!! |
| 2631 | Linda M. McLeod | Box 52 Gift Lake, Alberta | Dear Kell y,
Please let our Metis Hero Leo Rest in Peace in the land He called home! My Brither in Law was killed in action in WWII, my husband has never been able to visit his only Brother, He was moved to tears, at the thought of Leo's family not being able to visit his resting place! I understand that you as Leo's spouse want to honor Him in buriying his ashes in Regina, Please honor him by leaving Him in the place he loved, played and grew up! |
| 2632 | Anonymous | 222 Windsor Drive Fort McMurray | I went to school with Leo and his brother and although I didn't know them well - I could see how close the two were. I think Lee would know his brother's wishes (as they had discussed) more than a wife of 3.5 months.
I think it would be of the upmost respect to leave Leo rest in peace in his hometown with his family able to visit his site as much as they like. |

| 2637 | Lee Cooper | Ompah, Ontario | As a Metis dating back to 1611, I agree that his wife should leave Constable Johnston in his final resting place at La La Biche. As his wife you should honour his wishes and those of his family and prove that you truly did love him.
I only hope you can put his wishes before you own as you have already done. Take care |

| 2639 | Leslie Desnoyers | Box 195, Legal, AB | Please just leave him alone. It was tragic that he was taken from so many family and friends but just let him rest. He would be far from his family. How often would they be able to go to Regina and see him. JUST LEAVE LEO THERE!! |
