Name: Anonymous on Mar 19, 2007Comments: I completely agree with you. Not only is this current problem the issue, but we should also have a voice on what teachers should stay and those who should leave. This is my second semester at Mills, and so far i've experience some issues with teachers and not being heard and feeling discrimated makes me very upset. Maybe now that more people are listening us, its time we expose all of our issues.Flag

Name: A Concerned Parent on Mar 26, 2007Comments: To Mills Board of Trustees: The description the 364 students give of Joanna Iwata is that she is:" a supporter of Mills Students, has unparalled interest in the student body, is encouraging, a wonderful advocate for the student body, is trustworthy, is very fair and responxive of student concerns, is 'in' student's lives, is awesome, is involved, has integrity, is friendly and strong..." these sound like qualities one would find in a job description for "Dean of Students". In fact, these are the qualities my daughter has enjoyed by her relationship with Joanna Iwata. As a long distance parent,it has been very reassuring that there is such a dedicated Dean who has supported my daughter and her friends. As a parent who pays tuition of more than $40,000.00 per year , I expect responsibility from an administration and board who are responsibile for this decision. I am waiting for an "honest" response...... I think Joanna Iwata is too good to lose! I encourage the students to contact their TUITION PAYING PARENTS to add their comments and concerns..... Thank-you for your attention to this matter. --- A Concerned Tuition Paying ParentFlag

I worked in the DSL from my sophmore year on and this department helped to shape who i am today. and this department is not supported enough, at all.Flag
