We, as true and loyal fans, implore the ownership of the Philadelphia Phillies to make an offer to Jayson Werth that he cannot refuse. The fans have been an intregal part for the success of our ball club over the last 4 years. We loyally fill every seat in the stadium, purchase concessions and cheer for our team game in and game. We agonize with every loss, leaving our hearts and souls in that stadium every game. We have committed to you, our hometown heroes, and now ask that you commit to us. Please, do not allow Jayson Werth to sign with another ball club. We are asking that you make an effort to resign him that goes above and beyond what would be considered "fair market value." This team, the team that you have assembled and that WE love, is a once in a life time assembly of talent. You, as owners, have the opportunity to make Philadelphia the standard bearer for all baseball organizations. You have opportunity to keep our Phillies together and allow them to pursue the only real goal in baseball, or all of sports for that matter, winning championships. By resigning Jayson, you not only put your mark on baseball, but you will forever put your mark in the hearts and souls of Phillies fans everywhere. You have the opportunity to tell the fans that you truely appreciate our loyal support. We are not naive, and understand that it your money, not ours, that we're asking you to spend. But we ask that you recognize that the imprint of championship baseball will leave a legacy for us, our children and our grandchildren that is more valuable and important to this city than can ever be measured in dollars.  It is our hope that you will listen to us with open minds, chose to not let Jayson sign with another team, and forever etch your legacy in the hearts of Phillies fans.
