Aren't councils supposed to help a football club thrive in its borough? According to most this answer is yes but Barnet council must have forgotten this. Despite the BBC saying we left this isn't the case. We don't want to leave yet. We are not in a scenario where we have a stadium ready to go into as the Hive is way below the Football League's minimum stadium capacity and ground sharing will kill the club. It is great to see the reaction from Barnet and other teams fans to the news and hope they continue their help. Get everyone you know to sign the petition by facebook, twitter, email etc because every signature counts! I would also like to thank everyone who has helped us reach 1150 people so far-it is much appreciated! Lets try to Keep Barnet Alive!!!!

First of all, thanks to everyone who has signed up in the past few days. Alongside the many Barnet fans that have signed up so far, I would also like to thanks the fans of Exeter City, Gillingham, Charlton Athletic, Hereford United, Reading, Brighton and Hove Albion, Aldershot Town, Halifax Town, Accrington Stanley, Rotherham United and Plymouth Argyle amongst many others. A special mention goes to David, a moderator of the Reading fansite Royal Rendezvous as he has helped to get plenty of fans from Reading, Gillingham and Hereford to sign the petition. We hope to get 1000 people by the end of the week and we can only get bigger if everyone recommends this petition and we continue getting a lot of people to sign and continue to help our efforts to KEEP BARNET ALIVE!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has signed up in the past 2 days, which has seen the petition gain five times as many people. I would also like to thank the fans from Halifax Town, Aldershot Town, Morecambe, Exeter City, Rotherham United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Accrington Stanley and many others. However, I would like to thank the fans of Plymouth Argyle especially who have come out in number to sign the petition and voice their support.A shame about the result yesterday in the FA Cup but hopefully we can beat Brentford on Tuesday-Wembley here we come! We also got quite a lot of fans from Barnet to sign the petition yesterday and one Barnet player also signed the petition (we can't upload the photo of the players signature due to a rule which might not allow any players or anyone who works at Barnet to sign the petition so we don't want to get that player into any trouble). Keep up the support and if we continue to grow at the current rate, we can help to...

As promised, there would be information on what a few of us will be doing to promote the petition at the Barnet vs MK Dons cup tie this weekend. We will be outside the ground, at the pavilion and the Main and South stand to get people to sign up by giving their names and emails. We will also be printing around 100 cards to be put around the ground. However, someone representing the petition for the East Terrace might not be available but their will definitely be people in the Main and South Stand. We will also try to get an announcement at half time and we will try to get a few of the playing and coaching staff to sign up and their signatures will be put on the blog tomorrow evening if we can get a few people to sign up. Thanks everyone so far for their support and we are up to 53 people, which is a good start but we need more to make an impact so keep recommending people to sign and Keep Barnet Alive!

I was not intending to write a blog today but some important news came out of Barnet today which could unfortunately spell the beginning of the end for the club. This is the news that due to the councils obvious hatred of Barnet FC, we will face a reduced footprint next season and this will lead to the blockage of Priory Road so people can't access the stadium from that direction and the continued high lease payment on the Cricket Club ground. The other news is that the Football League will decide next week whether Barnet can start next season at Underhill and if they decide against it, a move to the Hive or groundsharing is the only solution-and it isn't a good one. The final news unreleased by Barnet FC is that I am on good authority that construction has started again at the Hive and this could be to implement a stadium-when it was first made, there were plans of a 5000 seater stadium being built for Wealdstone but this could be made now for Barnet's use. Get as many people to...

First and foremost, thanks for everyone who signed up to do as we got an extra 17 people today who support the petition which gives us a total of 27 people signed up in 5 days, and we hope there are many more to come! I will try and promote the petition in any way I can from Facebook, Twitter, Barnet forums and trying to get some players and coaching staff to come out in support of the petition at the matches at Underhill.Secondly, a facebook group has been created and to visit it, go to the petition home page and click the first link and we should hopefully get a few people signing up because of it.There will be more news in the next few days about the people asking for names and emails so people can sign up for petition throughout the week. If anyone else is interested in helping us out, that would be much appreciated and can you email me at keepingbarnetfcatunderhill@gmail.comThanks for your support again.

I would like to thank everyone so far for signing up-if we can get enough people, it will hopefully be enough to keep Barnet at Underhill. I would like to ask everyone if they can recommend this to as many people as they can Barnet fans or not as every signature counts. Two announcements to make though:1-a facebook page will be created shortly to get more people to like the petition2-a few of the people who helped set up the petition will be asking people at the Barnet v MK Dons match for their email so we can send them the link to the site. More on this throughout the week. Thanks again for your support and with your help, this may be enough to keep the Bees at Underhill.
