As you may know by now, the DCS is trying to take Dakota away again. We go to court soon and I need everyones help. Thanks to all who sign out petition. It will be printed and taken to court. Please help us get the signatures. Forward to everyone you know. We have been trying to adopt my nephew for 18 months. His birth Mom was 15 when he was born. She left him at my house when he was only 5 days old and never returned. Dcs knew that I had him. THey never stepped in until now. She has multiple mental issues and got placed in foster care when he was 9 months. Even before then she wouldnt have anything to do with him. He has been here since day one. She got placed in foster care and her parents gave their rights up in January. She signed the consent in June of 2008 but only in front of a notary. We didnt do it in front of the judge because we didnt know the dad. I ran the ad in the paper and did the father registry. In January of 2009 she got a new gal in the case with her parents. We provided her her own for the adopting. the new one has come in and all of a sudden she wants the child back. But she doesnt want him herself. She wants to put him up for adoption with the state so they can be adopted together. We have 3 small children 4year old (twins)and a 5year old as well. This is going to devastate the entire family. Has anyone out there had anything like this that can help me.I am down to my last rope and court is the 18th of May 2009 for her to resind signing the consent and the 19th for dcs to take custody. She cant get an adopted family due to her problems and until now they wouldnt even put her in a home with children. Her mental report states she shouldnt even be considered a babysitter for kids.i will go crazy without him. she doenst even want him. when she could visit she wanted my oldest son to come. she didnt even choose the baby to come. i dont know what to do or where to go for help.
