I want to start a online petition For keeping Alcohol out of our school's. The reason Im starting this is because, on monday last week, my daughters school sent home raffle tickets to raise money for the school, They are raffleing off a bucket of "booze" (as the school worded it in the newsletter). I questioned the school princable about it and she told me basically to grow up that grog sells. So I told her I will be going to the department about it. Then today they have a fund raiser at the school where a large number of bikies are comming and we (the parents) make morning tea and the bikies donate money to the school. (which is great , as the school really needs the funds) The kids and I made a platter of sandwiches and took them there at 9am, when we got there, there was, RUM, JIM BEAM, BEER, and other alcohol desplayed on a table where small kids could reach them, and this is all in front of the kids on school grounds and also smoking in front of kids in school grounds and putting their smokes out on the ground and leaving their smoke butts on the ground. I think and truly Believe this is very wrong, its a dam school, not a pub or someones back yard. The kids and I walked out, I dont behave like that in front of my kids and i dont send them to school to see it. So Im going to start a online petition for people who want to keep the alcohol and smoking out of our schools, so people can leave there email address and a first name, so i can present it to the department of education. It is Illegal to smoke within 4 mt of any school. If people want to drink and smoke, thats there business but please dont bring it into our primary schools.
