Keep Dr. Brenda Scruggs As Our Principal!

The petition

Our school principal, Dr. Brenda Scruggs, announced that she will not be able to return to WNES for the 2007-2008 school year. Dr. Scruggs was informed by Newton County School Superintendent, Dr. Steve Whatley, that she has, instead, been assigned to the position of Assistant Principal at Middle Ridge Elementary for next school year. Dr. Whatley told her that she was being moved because of low morale at WNES. The dedicated teachers at WNES, who have a true desire to make a difference in the education of our students, know that Dr. Scruggs is not the cause of low morale at our school. Her dedication to the faculty, staff, and students at WNES is evident in the decisions she makes and the visions she has about our school. West Newton Elementary needs Dr. Scruggs as our principal!
