Wrestling has been in the Olympics since the beginning. Wrestling dates back to thousands of years ago and was one of the first sports ever. Wrestling is the foundation for so many things in life. Wrestling teaches you discipline, respect, hard work, sportsmanship and it also teaches you how to win respectfully and how to take a loss like a man. Wrestlers wrestle because they love the grind, the love the reward and do it for little to no notoriety and the end goal for all wrestles is to someday make it to the Olympics! Wrestlers are the hardest workers, the most humble and respectful people you will ever meet. IOC, do not rip the dreams away from so many young children who are grinding every day in hopes to making it to the Olympics. No matter how big or small the accomplishment of the wrestler, wrestling makes individual’s great…worldwide! KEEP WRESTLING IN THE OLMPICS!!

Joseph Rabin, Israel1 year ago Comments: In 1980, I was the NY State Champion at 112 pounds, the USA Eastern Regional Freestlye champion and placed 3rd in the Junior Freestyle Nationals held in Iowa that year. There is NO other sport greater than wrestling. I can NOT believe that anyone would make such a decision to remove it from the Olympics. Disgraceful! Unthinkable! Outragious! Olympic Wrestling must continue forever!!!
