We patrons of Wells Fargo Bank object to the planned $7.00 monthly fee scheduled to be applied to the Essential Checking Account beginning on May 4, 2012. Many of us who utilize the Essential Checking Account live paycheck-to-paycheck and only have a bank account because it is required to get by in today's society. Those of us who chose the Essential Checking Account over your other products did so because it fit the financial niche in which we find ourselves. Maintaining a daily balance of $1,500 is onerous and absurd for an account that does not pay interest. Requiring a Direct Deposit minimum of $500 per statement period to waive the fee is also a challenge for many of us. Please reconsider the monthly fee and its requirements before we may be forced to reconsider which bank we patronize.
