The bill 115 "Putting Students First Act" was passed, which took away the teachers' right to negotiate their contract with the government. To try protest this bill, the O.S.S.T.F. (the teachers' union) has implemented a Work to Rule action, which stops teachers from volunteering for extra-curricular activities, or even offering students extra help outside of school hours. The students feel their education should not be negatively impacted by a disagreement between the Teachers' Union and the Provincial Government. We, as students want this problem to be resolved without further harm to our educational growth.
