Name: Julie Mcginty on Jan 21, 2013Comments: Both my sons go to platform one and both have played gigs at the wight rock Bar. I have been to watch them and have always found it a friendly and welcoming place, and have never seen any trouble there. I have seen lots of great acts at the Wight Rock and the staff and customers are all encouraging. I think it would be a great shame if this venue could no longer play live music, as I think it benefits so many young musicians on the island.Flag

Name: Elizabeth Hine on Jan 21, 2013Comments: We need more live music venues, not less. My son is currently studying at platform 1 and I hope he will one day be able to play at the wight rock bar. If you live in or around a town centre you must expect noise and disruption, the majority of which, I suspect, comes from the pubs and bars rather than a basement music venue.Flag
