Comments: I have played at this venue many times and have had nothing but good times here. It will be a real shame to lose it as the Island has a huge, thriving music scene which the Wight Rock plays an important part in.Flag -

Name: Jackie Roberts on Jan 21, 2013Comments: Venues in the middle of towns need to be supported. Residents of towns choose to live in what will always be a fairly noisy area in order to have the convenience of a central location. It is their choice, they have no reason to complain. Maybe they should try attending one of the gigs to see just how good some of these young bands are!Flag

Name: Andy Roberts on Jan 21, 2013Comments: This a good local venue for the Island music scene. It has been established for a number of years and I am sure that if the music is stopped there will be another business having to close, something I am sure the Island could do without.Flag

Name: Gabrielle Woodward on Jan 21, 2013Comments: Wight Rock is a real gift to the isle of wight, it is one of the best venues for music on the island, giving many aspiring musicians the chance to play their music and get themselves put there. It is also very supporting to usic students, hosting many platform one presents nights. It would be a great shame to the community and to ryde for wight rock to lose the price lashes they give to so many people.Flag

Name: Lucas Hardy on Jan 21, 2013Comments: This isn't just one of the very few music venues on the Isle of Wight but it is one of the best venues in the UK that I've had the pleasure of playing. I have never felt the venue or the area around it to be excessively noisy or complaint worthy. Especially, compared to the larger pubs and clubs within meters of the Wight Rock Bar. It would be a very negative dent in the Island's music community if they are to have their license revoked.Flag

Name: Wightparty Leigh on Jan 21, 2013Comments: The Wight Rock bar is an essential venue for all upcoming local musicians, it has been a steady provider of great music, and not once have I heard of or seen any trouble emerging from this venue. It would be a massively great loss to the IOW music scene and a disgrace if the licensing committee revoked their license, when they can allow many other venues with underage drinking and violence on a regular basis continue. WIGHT ROCK MUSRT STAY LIVE.Flag

Name: Adam Tabner on Jan 21, 2013Comments: The wight rock bar is one of the only actual music venues on the island. It fully supports the local music scene here on the island, revoking the licence would be utterly ridiculous! Not only Would it damage the local music scene even more than it already is, but it is utterly ridiculous to basically secure the closing of yet another local business.Flag

Name: Graham on Jan 21, 2013Comments: 4-5 times a year I visit the IOW for the sole purpose of seeing bands perform at the Wight Rock bar. Each extended weekend visit brings income not only to the Wight Rock bar, but to the ferry company, hotels and other restaurants. I am not alone in my trips to the island to visit this great venue. I understand their licence is now under review, so I urge you to keep this wonderful and iconic bar open as far more local trade would be impacted by a loss of the Wight Rock bar. Kind regards Graham Collins.Flag

Comments: To lose this incredible venue from the Island would be a disgrace. So many bands have started out here, so many bands learnt their trade here, I have seen more bands than I can remember and have always had a great time. The Wight Rock Bar are PASSIONATE about supporting local music and now we have to support them to make sure they continue doing what they are great at. RIGHT BEHIND YOU GUYS.Flag -
