Congressman Jordan,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your service to our area. The focus of this petition is to bring something important to your attention that we find to be a timely and leading topic of discussion amongst conservatives in your district. 

As I am sure you will agree, the Senate Immigration Bill (S. 744) is a dangerous piece of legislation that many people in your district are concerned will be brought forth during the current session. 

We believe it is unthinkable to grant amnesty to the 11.5 million illegal immigrants in our Country. Congress has granted amnesty 7 times over a period of nearly 30 years. Rather than solving the problem it has created an environment that motivates more immigrants to enter the Country illegally. 

We understand that you oppose blanket amnesty and more specifically S. 744 but we also know you have expressed interest in supporting border security and work visa reform legislation. 

Although I appreciate your position on blanket amnesty and reforms on border security and work visa reforms, I am worried that other legislators are planning to bring forth further immigration reform legislation that could allow for a compromise over S. 744 in the House. 

Congressman, please keep the Senate Immigration Reform Bill from being allowed to survive in the House. Giving millions of illegal immigrants a free pass, as this bill allows, could ruin our Country! 

The Senate bill could not come to the House floor unless the Rules Committee reports out a Rule allowing for its consideration, and that Rule needs to be adopted by the full House. 

For this reason, we add our names to encourage you to pledge to oppose such a rule for S. 744. Your pledge will help ensure we kill the bill!
