The state finally backed down and abandoned their pathetic attempt to erase the original design. This is a massive victory against their political cowardice that honors the true history of this monument. Keep your eyes open because we will be watching to ensure they never try to pull this stunt …
The original name and design of the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans monument was, and is the approved design authorized by the 79th Texas Legislative Session, resolution #36 and all those who have seen the Model/Maquette and donated or have given money to build and erect the monument. no change of the monument design has been voted on by the Texas Legislature nor has any overwhelming vote by veterans and their families and friends, and money donors has been made and recorded that calls for any design, but the original design! KEEP THE ORIGINAL DESIGN! The South Vietnamese were there from the beginning till the end, honor them and all whos served.
KEEP THE ORIGINAL DESIGN! NO CHANGE!
NO POLITICAL COWARDICE(Correctness)!
ONLY POLITICAL COURAGE!
One thousand people have finally drawn a line in the sand against this spineless rewriting of history. The Texas Legislature needs to stop hiding and honor the original design they already authorized.

The Texas Legislature is banking on us losing interest before we hit that milestone. Blast this link everywhere because we need to hit one thousand signatures before those bureaucrats try to brush us off again.

The state bureaucrats think they can sweep the original monument design under the rug without anyone noticing. We are nearing one hundred signatures and we need to push past this mark now to prove they cannot ignore our history.
