I realize that abolishing the death penalty in Kentucky has become a major topic of discussion. However, keeping the death penalty is crucial in eliminating the problem of overcrowding in jails, decreasing crime and the primary fact that it is already constitutional. The death penalty provides a safety blanket and a form of relief to Kentuckians and families who have dealt with horrific situations where the death penalty is involved.
