We, the residents of Scarborough, recognize the need for better cell phone coverage but are unwilling to decrease our property values and increase our cancer risk (both of which are well documented) to achieve stronger wireless signals.

Given that cell towers are controversial commercial facilities, and given that greater coverage can be achieved through increasing the allowable height and co-locating multiple providers on a single taller tower, we petition the town to reject the ordinance that would allow them in residential areas and on private property, and instead keep them in industrial zones.
