Munroe Regional Medical Center has been operating under local control as a not-for-profit health system for over 100 years, and has been repeatedly recognized not only for its high quality and low cost, but also as one of the very best hospitals in the country by multiple national healthcare rating organizations.

 Munroe's Board of Trustees is considering a long term lease of the Medical Center to an outside, for-profit group resulting in the loss of local control, and the potential elimination of unprofitable services like maternity and pediatrics, making those services no longer available in our community

 As a resident of Marion County:

• I want our community hospital, MRMC, to remain under local control and not be turned over to an outside, for-profit company, and
• I want to have an opportunity to vote on any contemplated change to our hospital that would diminish its local control or its ability to continue to deliver high quality, low cost, full service healthcare to all of the people of Marion County.
