The closure will impact the long term future of the Oak Mall and the local community who rely on this store daily. Also, people may be unwilling to travel the short distance to Port Glasgow and back. Therefore, it is the safest option that Marks and Spencer remains in Greenock if the Oak Mall is to have any credibility at all in 2016 and beyond.
