We believe that the proposed noise ordinance being considered by the City of San Antonio is unduly restrictive and will have a negative impact on our enjoyment and quality of life within the city. We support an alternative agreement that will allow up to seven hours per week of indoor or outdoor music performances, without a special permit, if the performances conclude by 9PM on Friday and Saturday and 8PM any other night.

Live music doesnt create trouble, it keeps people out of trouble. Giving people a safe, fun, and creative outlet stops them from findin less conventional ways to have fun and pass the time. Have some respect for the arts.
As a visitor to San Antonio one of the many amazing draws for me is the expression of art through outdoor music. I've enjoyed many a meal accompanied by talented musicians playing along the walks.
And all of those music lovers will drive straight north to San Marcos and Austin, where those cities will gladly welcome them for their boost in local economy. Also, this risks putting drunk drivers on the roads- partying in SM and ATX, but driving back home at 2:30 am.
Those hours are a bit rough. Most businesses will suffer a profit loss if they choose to have performances. In addition later hours mean more adults with children are able to make a show. Music, and more specific access to music, should not be more difficult.
This restaurant is not the venue that has repeatedly broken the existing noise ordinances. This venue, Local Public House has been respectful and has openly asked for public dialogue about the situation. To punish them and all of us (patrons) is absurd.
This is 2017, not 1817. Allow music indoors and out!

The music at Local is tasteful and played at a level that does not interfere with the neighbourhood. Live music puts San Ann on the map and draws many people to local businesses. Keep music alive at Local.
