Name: Tony Fradgley on Nov 25, 2011Comments: The building is a resource that is much needed by the community it not only offers sport facilities but space for other organisations and the general public to use. one community project JobZone based within light waves for the past 6 1/2 years offers advice and information around employment and training to unemployed people from around the 5 towns and sees 1,200 customers per year, this project may not survive if the building closes. Support the bid nowFlag

Name: Simon Moorey on Nov 25, 2011Comments: I was most alarmed to learn of the possible closure of Lightwaves - scheduled July 2012. We have had the regular Saturday bookings for 5 a side football for over 20 years and have no plans to stop playing despite our great age. With Next Generation running the facility we will be able to continue our long standing arrangement. We pledge our support for their business case.Flag

Name: Val Clark on Nov 28, 2011Comments: There is still a need for lightwaves but I don't understand why it is necessary to re-build Sun Lane baths when there is an adequate service at Lighwaves, or is the council trying to get rid of money?Flag

I hope the Council show they really are a 'catalyst' Council who want to see local people taking more responsibility for shaping and delivering the services they receive.Flag

Name: Helen Standing on Nov 28, 2011Comments: Wakefield Needs these facilities, I lived there for 15 yrs as a child and an adult and found it invaluable. I now live in Lancashire and still come back for events and to meet with family and we use Lightwaves all the time, others are simply to far to get too. SAVE LIGHTWAVES!!!Flag
