Name: Cherri Sheridan on Jan 3, 2013Comments: This station allows for many new artists to gain exposure within the local community. I love the format & have heard many people who miss the old local jazz stations compliment the fact of the city now having a more local excitement for jazz. We need to keep this station around to provide a more diverse future for the airways for our growing youth.Flag

Comments: As one who has been actively involved with jazz in our community over the years, I believe Jazz 102.1 FM is becoming a major asset to the Columbus area, and serves the public by highlighting local artists and jazz venues. We should do all we can to keep jazz on the air in Columbus.Flag -

Name: Darrell R Stewart Sr. on Jan 3, 2013Comments: I think Ron "sax" Johnson has done a great job managing 102.1 Columbus do not need another talk radio station. The jazz format fills a void in Columbus and serves a very important purpose. Not only should the format remain jazz it should be expanded and the power and signal should be increased. So 102.1 can serve the whole area better.Flag

Name: Ruth Kirk on Jan 4, 2013Comments: Well once again Bexley and all others that are trying to take 102.1 FM Jazz WCRX-LP off the air is sending a message that we are the COW TOWN that a lot of people calls Columbus. There are people that really enjoy Jazz here and I being one of them. We need, We want and I say keep WCRK-LP on the Air. I love WCRK-LP and I think we should have a Jazz Station on 24/7 7 days a week not just for a few hours. Who wants to hear a lot of talking I sure don't. Please do the right thing a give the people what they want some good Jazz on WCRK-LP. Thank youFlag

Name: Bob Cummerlander on Jan 4, 2013Comments: To lose the current format of Jazz music that is played on a regular basis would be a shame. I am a Jazz musician. My group is Bits and Pieces. he Listening to the other formats that's played on the other stations, in some cases you can't tell one station from the other let lone what is being played. The uniqueness and the quality of music that is played from the others, sets this station far apart from the others. For Columbus, the Capital of the State of Ohio to be recognized and compete as a major metropolitan city, their has to be diversity in the music that's played on the air.Right now, you have no competition. Your listeners range from late 20's on up. The on up part are people that have experience and a lot of success in life. You are setting on a gold mine if you market the present format you have. Think, prior to the change who had heard of this station. Your present staff has taken and built upon what they had the opportunity to do. Don't go backwards. Thank you, Bob Cummerlander Bits and Pieces. PS. I can relate to starting out with little and making a lot. We will celebrate our 20th year June of 2013.Flag
