   Comments: Dog parks are a hot topic with some people. However it must be a fact that the most users of parks are dog walkers. Bruce Pit is consistently more crowded than all the other parks in western Nepean/Ottawa put together I would bet. A dog park in Kanata would help many constituents have a safe place to exercise their dogs and save the environment as not so many people would drive to Bruce Pit. We need more off leash dog parks in the city.

    Comments: Dogs need safe places to run off leash to be healthy and happy. We occasionally go to Bruce Pit, but travel time prevents us from going more frequently. With only two "off-leash" parks in Ottawa, another would certainly be well used.

    Comments: There are so many dogs here just in Brookside that having a dog park in Kanata North is necessary. Bruce pit is too far and over populated. Please build us a contained dog park where my Daisy, a red-bone coonhound can run free and grow healthy and strong. Tracy Hunt

    Comments: Dog parks are a necessary element of the community, not only for the dogs, but also for the citizens who do not have dogs as well. Without a designated place for pet owners to exercise, train, and enjoy the company of our canine friends these activities will occur on public streets or private property.

    Comments: I believe that this would be a very fundamental ASSET to the Kanata North/South, and West Carleton Areas, as there are no places for OFF LEASH, which causes a LOT of headache for the NUMEROUS dog owners in the North, West, and South of Ottawa. Personally a Dog Park would assist in the decrease of Motor Vehicles on the road having to travel to the only two Dog Parks, which although are great parks, can be very, very crowded.

    Comments: I have been walking my dogs in SMH for years as I live there and it is ridiculous to have dogs on leash in a wooded area. Cyclist, walkers, etc are all aware and accept off leash dogs in this area already. Dont take away the joy of this area from a substantial number of its users dog walkers!
