We Want Radio @ Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI

207 Signatures Goal: 250

We the undersigned, urge for the approval to recognize the importance of college radio for Johnson & Wales University. With college radio ever so increasing across the nation at many schools, we would like to add this aspect to our own. The benefits of having a college radio greatly outweigh the negatives. We understand that not only will the station benefit the students involved but also the school, businesses, and community that surround the campus area. Our goal is to have this station running with a diverse mixture of entertainment, which would not be limited to students or music. There is potential for talk shows/news programs, announcements of events such as rallies and fund-raisers, as well as coverage of JWU sporting events at home. Overall, we are aiming to devote our time and energy into getting a radio station, and if the radio comes to fruition, we will devote a lot to it as well. This would include things, but not limited to, getting finances through means such as fund-raisers and support from the community, creating a structured board of management, making a detailed and organized schedule for hosts/ anchors/ DJ\'s and so much more. We hope that you will consider our offer and help us strive to build a radio station at Johnson & Wales. We here by agree that it will over-all improve the quality of the school and help further unite students with-in the campus area. Please consider the approval for the future Johnson & Wales University radio station agreed upon by the following people.
