Name: Brent McGaw on Feb 15, 2013Comments: After purchasing our home in 2000 we learned that in fact our block (first block of Brookdale) had already been carved off as out of district for JW which is only 2 blocks away. Our MLS listing said we were in district as did the selling selling agent. Fortunately JW was not closed at the time and our children were able to attend there (and one still does). I want to see this silly situation resolved - not only stopping further disaggregation of the neighbourhood but restoring what was clearly a stupid action at some previous time to carve off blocks so children who live 2 blocks from one school have to walk 5 blocks and cross a busy street to get to another school. This clearly undermines community when our children dont go to school with kids who are in their immediate neighbourhood. Rediculous!Flag

Name: Tiffani Steer on Feb 25, 2013Comments: As a parent of an almost school aged child one of the key reasons we purchased in this neighbourhood was so that our children could benefit from being able to walk to their school and enjoy their community. I firmly oppose the changing of the boundaries and urge the TDSB to reconsider.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 3, 2013Comments: It is very sad indeed that people living close to the school feel it unnecessary to show their support of not changing boundaries because they feel safe. The school counsel as well with their attempt at playing "neutral" while really what they should be doing is synthesising ALL opinions in the neighbourhood. Shame on you counsel for your avoidance of the issue. Shame on the entire TDSB for this ridiculous process and shame on the community for not uniting for their kids. The reality is that NO ONE should ever have their children forced to go to another school no matter which it is - simply because a government screwed up on their planning and can't manage to their own budgets. SHAME ON YOU TDSB - learn to manage your budget and your commitments.Flag
