There are millions of us around the world who have hearing difficulties and many are users of hearing aids. One of the problems that we all have is that the background music on almost every TV film and programme is too loud compared to the spoken word and becomes intrusive and ruins the enjoyment of the broadcast.

The best solution is to make the background music a separate channel so that there are two sound channels which can be adjusted by the viewer, one for the spoken word and one for the background music, and he can adjust them to suit his individual requirements.

This will mean changing the world wide manufacturing standards of programme and TV sets which are followed by all.. There is constant development of TV sets with 4D etc etc. Some of these changes require changes to the way the programmes are produced so a change as suggested is not out of this world.

If all the people who watch TV and who have this problem. were to raise their voices. I estimate that the numbers involved would be such that the manufacturing industry would have to sit up anmd lkisten for once.
