These are some good reasons why the East Riding of Yorkshire Council should refuse planning permission for the development: 1. Loss of a long established recreation facility in our town. 2. Residential development of a green field site, to the detriment of the environment. 3. Increased traffic congestion and road safety issues on an already overcrowded road system - especially on Manor Road and Woodhall Way. 4. Restricted access to the proposed new estate through Sheldrake Way. 5. Increased flood risk when the fields are concreted over - we only need to think back to last June!
