I am writing to ask for your support in amending the current child support law and put an end to the 3 income (or more) custodial parent household. While millions of children require monetary support to survive the current law requiring noncustodial parents to continue paying support after the custodial parent remarries is heavily out of balance. When a custodial parent remarries, they gain added financial income of a spouse. A household, that is once again complete with a more than adequate opportunity to succeed financially. A family unit that is recognized by the federal, state and local governments and there by entitled to all the additional benefits and tax credits that are offered. These benefits greatly enhance the opportunity to succeed as well. Unfortunately, under the current law, it is encouraging custodial parents to seek out multiple noncustodial incomes and devastating the the right of the noncustodial parents to pursue their own wellbeing or that of any new family unit they may wish to pursue, with a drastically reduced income, greater responsibility and a minimal rate of success. I would like to ask for your sponsorship, to have the support law amended. I pray that this amendment be applied to any current open support cases as well as written for future support cases, that we may make one small step at a time to help balance out and promote financially equal households on both sides of this issue. Thank You For Your Time
