Comments: I think Paris Hilton should serve the jail sentence just like anyone else would have to. She is not as stupid as she acts. She knew exactly that she was breaking the law. She is like a murderer on death row screaming "I'm innocent." That what all criminals say. She should cowboy up and face the fact that she broke the law and now has to pay. Serve the sentence and then go on with life pretending that she is a celebrity when really she is just a porn star, or whore for that matter. Anyway, if she goes unpunished (not receiving the 45 day jail sentence), then it proves this country's justice system is as fuqed up as we thought. Someone, some state, some justice system to put their foot down and say "celebrities, porn stars, and wannabe celebrities (the last 2 in reference to Paris) will be treated the same as the common blue collar or white collar worker who actually works for a living and doesn't spend all their time like Paris Hilton looking for attention. I honestly think this jail sentence thing with Hilton doesn't even deserve to be on the front of Esquire. Hey Mr. President Bush, will you pardon me from paying taxes

Comments: Paris is an utter disgrace to our country and the fact that she and her family feel she deserves special treatment just because she is wealthy is a slap in the face of American equality.

Comments: Miss Hilton was going 45 miles per hour over the speed limit. Fairly She was treated more than fairly. If I did that I wouldn't have a month between the "crime" and the "time". Throw her butt in jail before she kills someone.

Comments: No one is above the law. How many warnings/chances should one person be allowed. If it was me would I be entitled or even expect leniency - NO and neither should Paris.

Comments: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, I am 48 year old California voter. i was so outraged at the notion of children signing a petition to keep Paris out of jail that I immeadiatly went looking for a petition remining you of the foolishness of your getting involved in this case.

Comments: The fact she claims she did nothing wrong is infuriating given speedign and DUI are major killers. she'd not winning any friends either by claiming on her myspace that her "beauty" brightens up all of our therwise mundane lives. what a conceited little prat. Anyway, anyone else would have to do time for repeated offences, and her celebrity makes the act no less dangerous. this is a perfect opportunity for the justice system to show its regard for equality and consistent application of the law.

Comments: Special Treatment Hope not! I am sure that I too would have been given time to report for my nominal sentence if I too had broken the law so many times and arrived late for my court hearing. Poor Ms Hilton did not know that Suspended actually meant SUSPENDED! and to think such people are both able to bear children and are permitted to Vote.
