Comments: I cannot believe that the perpertrators have completely destroyed this mans life and due to a loophole in the law they will pretty much get off scot free! how can we live in a world where this is allowed to happen? His life has been completely destroyed and all the high hopes and talent that Sammy has have been completely wasted he will suffer emotionally and physically for his lifetime, not only him but his family too.....5 years isn't enough if they have destroyed a life then they should be made to pay the full price and justice should be served under charges of GBH. I feel physically sick thinking about what this man has had to endure and the fact that the people that have ruined his life will get away with it, carry on with their lives and roam free to probably attack for no reason again. Comments: If there is any justice in this world, then the accused will be sentenced in accordance with the crime he has committed; injuring an innocent, kind-hearted, decent person to the extent he left him in a coma for months. The time the accused waited for the victim shows intent and planning. This was by no means an accident but a calculated act. Our dear friend Sami is still struggling to this present day with his speech and the ability to move. Please do not let other barbaric members of the public think they can commit this kind of horrific crime, turn someone's life upside down (including the victims family and friends), and get such a light sentence.

Comments: Sami life as he and all of us knew him is now affectively over so this small sentence is itself a injustice! This man has affectively ended sami active life so a sentence of attempted murder would be more appropriate in my opinion, however as there's no chance of that I plea with you as the voice of the so called justice system to please give this criminal as much a sentence that it is in your power to do. This so called man deserves all he gets and more!

OUR DEAR FRIEND SAMI HAS HAD HIS LIFE TAKEN FROM HIM AT THE HANDS OF THIS MAN ALI ABDUL HAMID, AND TO THINK THAT THE HANDS THAT OUR RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS COULD WALK FREE.....JUSTICE MUST BE DONE!! I THINK MR HAMID MUST BE MADE TO SERVE THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE SENTENCE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE TO SAMI AND THIS MAN HAS DESTROYED NOT JUST SAMI'S LIFE SAMI'S DEAR FATHER AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY AND ALL OUR LIVES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WE HAVE HAD OUR DEAR SAMI TAKEN FROM US AND IF THERE IS JUST ONE THING WE ARE ASKING FOR IS JUSTICE TO BE MADE!! SAMI IS THE MOST AMAZING MAN THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING AND HE IS LOVED SO DEARLY BY US ALL......SO LETS MY JUSTICE HEARD FOR SAMI X

Comments: I still can't believe that people can be that violent and create that much damage and not be punished appropriately. I hope that justice will be served, even though it will never bring back a full and vibrant life for Sami - a life potential that he was previously working towards and was entitled to fulfilling. x

Comments: I do not no the victim but his story touched my heart. I cannot believe that people can be so evil. I had a look a few pics of him at his welcome home party that his family and friends had arranged for his return and the love they have for him is without a doubt transparent. The pain and anger his family and friends must have endured. I mean, imagine his whole life changed in one night. Fine one miniute, paralysed the next. These people must be punished, they left him brain dead. For no reason! Life would not even be good enough! What is 5years compared to what Sami Sanchez will have to go through, life will never ever fully be the same for him. Jusctice !!!
