 This petition is to bring justice for the employees,ex-employees, animals and also for the people that have been donating to HHS, i my self was a donor to this SHELTER for about 3 years, but sadly after my HORRIBLE experience with Edward Perez on 1/19/10, i have made the decision not to donate and to ask my church and friends to stop donations until changes have been made with the people that are in charge of the care of animals in this shelter, Edward Perez the shelter director, and Sherry Ferguson the Executive Director of the Houston Humane Society. Because of the experience my children and I had, and after reading of the allegations of sexual harassment, I felt that something needs to be done,There has been a sexual harassment lawsuit against Houston Humane Society Shelter Director Edward Perez, but sadly Sherry Ferguson has been aware of this acts of abuse towards the woman and the employees that work in the shelter for this she also should be removed from the duties in this shelter. In my experience with this man, i my self was not sexually harass,  but my children and i were treated like trash, while trying to donate and admit an animal in this shelter, we were treated badly and in an INHUMANE manner by Edward Perez in my last visit to HHS, I wonder if ME as a human that can defend my self against a person like this was treated in such INHUMANE MANNER, I WONDER how the animals are being TREATED BY THIS MAN, the very next day i called Sherry Ferguson to make a complain about this man Edward Perez and about the treatment he gave MY CHILDREN and I and the disregard of the reason why i was there, witch was to DONATE, and to ask a question about the $5 FEE, because a lot of animals have been put back on the streets because, many people are not able to pay the FEE, but I NEVER received a call back and i was never able to get in touch with Sherry Ferguson, for this reason I'm asking you the community, ex-employees and employees, DONORS to consider all this and of what your own experiences have been while visiting the shelter, or for those that had worked or are still working there, in hopes of the removal of Sherry Ferguson and Edward Perez from their duties, so the employees and community can focus in building a safe haven for the animals in need of help. My goal is to have ONLY Leaders and care takers worthy to be called GOOD LEADERS and care takers in this shelter. LETS NOT FORGET this sheter is not and does not BELONG to the people that run it, this shelter is for and belongs to the ANIMALS in NEED.

PLease NOTE {Houston Humane Society is not afiliated with the rest of HUMANE SOCIETIES} i was told by the Humane Society of america, that they are all separate branches and they are only sharing the name, PLEASE keep donations flowing  in to your shelter of choice and keep in mind not all HUMANE SOCIETIES are created EQUAL. Keep us here in Houston in your prayers so justice can be done for the people, that donate time, give love and compassion for the animals in need, not to for get the animals. God bless you
