My father suffers from stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was not given much of a chance. Doctors at Mt. Sinai hospital gave him very little chance of survival, to be exact they gave him 3 months.Thanks to Dr. Lucente endless efforts my father is doing so much better. He makes himself available for my dad and found him specialized Doctors and treatment that have made this transition a little bit easier. I cannot thank him enough!Flag

People in this country glamorize criminals with million dollar movie, book, and record label deals while honest livings are punished and not rewarded. I trust him with all my medical decisions and my family .He has proven time and time again that his decision are in my best interest .Anyone who believes the media nonsence and have never met Dr Lucente are definately at a loss . I am a bettter person just for knowing him. Unfortunately the power of suggestion can hurt regardless of the truth. unfortunately when the smoke clears there wont be one article about the integrity and passion in this man to provide people with the best medical care and knowledge possible and that truly is a shame.Flag

I know in my heart there is no way this doctor/husband/father/good friend is in any way the horrible person that the infantile pathetic news paper the S.I. advance is trying to make him out to be. I guess its more important to sell papers that tell the truth or do a real legitimate investigation which would obviously take talent. Talent which no one at that disgrace of a newspaper posses. I truly hope justice prevails and all of these lowlifes exploiting a good mans name for personal gain lose their ability to ever hurt anyone again.Flag

Lucente is a compassionate caring physician who would never put any of his patients health at risk for personal gain. Unlike the vultures at the S.I. Advance who will lie and attack a good persons name and print obscene things about them which have no truth to them at all,Richard Lucente is a man of honor and morals who puts his patients, families, and friends needs in front of his own. Truly I hope the truth comes out and all of the lies are saw through to the truth. DR. The medical profession needs many more physicians like Dr. Lucente. Putting Dr. Lucente's name in the articles printed in the Daily News and S. I. Advance, without any substance regarding Dr. Lucente's involvement, is totally irresponsible and outrageous! As anyone with even the slightest bit of intelligence knows, steroids, like all other prescription drugs, are often prescribed for many legimate reasons. Just because Dr. Lucente's name is "on a few prescriptions", doesn't mean he has done anything illegal. To slander and possibly ruin a fine physician's reputation, without checking out the facts and getting the WHOLE STORY, is totally unacceptable and irresponsible. Lucente for many many years, my husband was Dr. Anthony Moretti a well respected and succesful physician on Staten Island and in Brooklyn. When I lost my husband it was Dr Luecente that came to our office to help. He helped Dr Racco whom was devastated at the time . He would not accept any money at all and the man continued to see patients and work in our office for months. He helped nights and weekends too. Dr. Lucente also came to my home to check on myself and my 3 children and would bring cooked dinners. I am so deeply saddened by the slander being printed. He has not been convicted of any crime and his character , reputation and professionalism are all being damaged. I plan on writting much more about this to the proper agencies. The sad fact is that this can happen to any of us. We used to live in a country where you were innocent until proven guilty ....Dr. Lucente has been made to look guilty and has to prove his innocence...so unfair so unconstituional, so unjust !!!!!Flag

Our emergency departments are over crowded because people avoid seeing their attending physicians until their illness is out of control. Dr. Lucente's office is well run, and he and his entire staff work as a team to treat people holistically, and educate them to disease prevention. The Staten Island Advance brought a shadow of doubt to trusting a good doctor, and nice guy. Our family will continue to be treated by him, and we recommend him to many friends who don't have a family doctor.Flag
