Sohagi Zahan Tonu, 19 years of age, an honors student of history, was raped, tortured and killed on 20th March, 2016. This merciless act of brutality happened in Comilla cantonment area, Comilla, Bangladesh. While the authorities have promised justice, the people of Bangladesh have seen too many cases where no action was taken. It is time we ensured justice for Tonu and others like her.
গত ২০ মার্চ, ২০১৬ সন্ধ্যায় ধর্ষিত ও নিহত হয় ১৯ বছর বয়সী ইতিহাসের ছাত্রী সোহাগী জাহান তনু। ঘটনাটি ঘটে কুমিল্লা সেনানিবাসের ভেতরেই।
যদিও কর্তৃপক্ষ এর ন্যায়বিচারের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে, কিন্তু এর আগে এরকম বহু ঘটনার কোন সুরাহা হয়নি বলে স্বস্তি পাচ্ছে না মানুষ।
এখন সময় এসেছে তনু এবং আর সকল নির্যাতিতাদের ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত করার।

Girls of my country are not safe even in cantonment. Military peoples are involved with this so we are not sure that the justice will be served accurately. We want international coverage, govt. pressure on military authority to ensure justice for Tonu.
