    Comments: Not that I am Columbo or CSI, but if you review the news and television footage of this unfortunate incident, it appears as though MacKenzie was the one that was responding to the stepfather's aggression towards her. It has been stated in the news and printed in black and white, that there was a physical assault, then MacKenzie responded with a bat and a knife and this is when the stepfather shot her. I do not know about you, but just think about it for a second. It takes two hands to swing the bat and as a female, I would use the length of the bat to keep space between me and my aggressor and the knife to stop them if my aggressor got past the bat.

    Comments: This story is so sad.I can't understand why this man isn't in jail. He murdered this girl and is walking free. I have 3 boys of my own and I'm afraid of the society they are growing up in especially if our justice system is no better than this. This girl didn't deserve to die and the man who did this should be in prison.I thought police were suppose to protect and serve?? They haven't done either one. I hope justice is served one day.
