Lackham College have a large amount of students' money and is unwilling to pay it back. Most Animal Management students paid a fee of £180 in September 2011 which was to cover trips during the first year. However, the college only arranged five of the promised 7 trips for the first academic year, with a sixth to Drayton Manor being funded outside of the £180 fee [students had to pay extra for this]. Money was left over [approximately £80/student], which students were informed would 'roll over' to pay part of an educational assignment-based trip to Holland in the second year. However, the college is now refusing to apply this money onto the trip to Holland and will not refund the money. What have they done with the money? For argument's sake, let's say 60 out of the 90 first year students paid the £180 fee [I imagine the number of those who paid is actually higher; this is only a rough estimate]. If £80 is left over per student, that leaves a massive £4800 [excluding interest] sitting around somewhere. Where has that £4800 gone? Has our money been lost or spent? Help us to find out where this money has gone and hopefully regain it!
