Clerys close their doors and change the locks! People turn up for work, some having done so for decades. They learn they have become unemployed and there will be no redundancy. How is this possible? If this is allowed to end like this it will be a depressing day for Irish business and without intervention, show a new low in how corporatations are allowed to treat workers here. This is indicative of the working conditions for people in Ireland; zero hour contracts and "job bridge" roles for the long term unemployed, and now immediate redundancy with no compensation. Most importantly though this is happening now, effecting families in a disastrous fashion. We need people in business and in government to know that this is not acceptable. Please support these people/workers (ex-workers), it may stop this happening to you tomorrow. Thank you.
